Call for Papers until 22 January 2024: 2024 WAAE SUMMIT on “ARTS, NATURE, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION: HARMONY IN UNITY”.

The Department of Music Studies and the Department of Theatre Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in collaboration with the Departments of Physical Education and Sport Science, Primary Education and Educational Studies, are delighted to invite artists, researchers, educators, practitioners of Arts Education to participate in the 2024 WAAE SUMMIT on “ARTS, NATURE, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION: HARMONY IN UNITY”.
The conference will delve into the dynamic relationship between the arts, nature, technology, and education, exploring their synergies through innovative research and practice, aiming to transform and re-orient the educational experience.
The Summit organizers expect to receive proposals in one of the following forms:
1. Paper presentations (15 minutes + 5 mins discussion)
OR
Art-based/Performance-based presentations (20 mins to include performance/analysis/documentation)
Format: Extended abstract* of 800 words
2. Panel Discussion (45 mins for 3-4 or more speakers with a convenor/chair, to include discussion between participants and audience)
Format: Each Panel Discussion to include one common extended abstract* of 500 words and 250 word abstracts from each individual participant in one file.
3. Workshops (up to 45 mins)
Format: Extended abstract* of 800 words
4. Poster presentations (5 mins presentation)
Format: Extended abstract* of 800 words
Short CV - 100 words
Short abstract of no more than 150 words (for the Summit program)
* Extended abstracts will be included in the 2024 WAAE SUMMIT Proceedings published by NKUA with e-ISBN.
** The official language of the WAAE Summit is English.
- Proposal submissions in Greek will be accepted in exceptional cases.
Note: there will be no translation during the Summit.
