SDEA Theatre Arts Conference: All Aboard! - Navigating Crosscurrents of Theatre Arts Practice and Beyond. Singapore, 17 – 19 July 2025

​Singapore Drama Educators Association (SDEA) is organizing the Theatre Arts Conference (TAC 2025) in Singapore from 17th to 19th July 2025. The conference, titled ‘All Aboard! - Navigating Crosscurrents of Theatre Arts Practice and Beyond’, invites a diverse community of artists, educators, researchers, and practitioners to embark on a journey through the dynamic intersections of drama and theatre education, community engagement, and performance.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The SDEA Theatre Arts Conference 2025 will feature an exciting and diverse lineup of events, including:
20+ masterclasses and workshops exploring contemporary indigenous theatre, improvisation, reimagining traditional art forms, sustainability and climate education, puppetry, community arts practices, mime, inclusivity, and more.
25+ paper presentations covering a broad spectrum of topics in drama, theatre, and performance.
6 engaging panels and roundtables, bringing together experts for thought-provoking discussions.
3 field trips giving insights into local practices and research opportunities
2 captivating performances by local arts institutions in response to the theme of the conference.
